Band News

It's Cinco De Mayo at the Pocock Brewery and what a party!  Three food trucks in a taco battle, outdoor beer garden, souvenir pints and live music from Mojo Filter Blues. It was a warm day in the mid 90's but we still had a great crowd, thanks to all that braved the heat with us. We really appreciate your support. Here's some pics....check out the taco truck name and some very cool hats!

Art and Music and great people on a Sunday afternoon sums up our Fun-A-Day experience. Fun-A-Day is a pop-up art exhibition where the artists work on a project everyday for a month and then display the projects. There were some very talented artists on display, one of them being our very own Mony Jackson. Mony's displays (as seen below) are amazing ink drawings with such fine details, her project was a popup book that was incredible. There were motorized kinetic sculptures by our sound man Kenneth Ronney and many other amazing drawings from equally talented artists.  There were free refreshments and wine and everyone was so supportive of each other and Mojo Filter Blues. We made some new friends and even found an old friend. Glad you found us Bonnie! Bonnie was following the band before there was social media and lost touch with us after the Mardi Gras closed (She is seen below with our new friend Nina). We had a great time and enjoyed sharing a Sunday afternoon with everyone. If you missed the pop-up art exhibit, you should definately check it out next time!

Fast changing weather reports of rain resulted in a inside performance at the Valencia Country Club, even though it turned out to be a beautiful day. We had a great time playing for St. Patrick's Day after the Men's Golf Tournament. A big thank you to all that watched and to Valencia Country Club, we had a great time. Hope to see you all soon! Here's some pictures and a short video.

We had such a great time Saturday night at Pocock Brewery. They were great hosts, the beer was flowing, the food truck (Cheddr Wheel) was serving up lots of cheesy delights and the crowd was so much fun. They were signing along to Minnie the Moocher and Land of a Thousand Dances!  This was Dan's first gig with us and he rocked the house. Can't wait to return next time. See you all soon!
